First Plane Ride

We weren't sure what to expect and packed for the worst case scenario:

• Goldfish
• Three books: Goodnight, Gorilla; Santa Paws; Where's Spot?
• sippy cup with agua
• crayons and a drawing pad
• Extra set of clothes for Zora
• Five diapers
• Wipes
• Antibacterial wipes
• Antibacterial hand gel
• Dried apple slices
• Nutz About Chocolate and Raspberry Trail Mix
  
• People magazine (my pick)
• American Scientific and National Geographic magazines (Rodney's pick)
• Planet Earth DVDs
• Squishy ball
• Small, plastic train
• Two sandwiches (one ham, one turkey)

Zora investigated each of these items for a total of 30 seconds each, which left us about two hours and 45 minutes to kill. So much for all that prep work. Luckily, the flight attendant provided us with the perfect toy: a plastic water bottle. Our dear little girl spent 30 minutes screwing the cap on and taking the cap off of the bottle. 30 minutes: that's an eternity in Toddler Time.
